Hello everyone long time no see! :P and happy Halloween :D 🎃 Well... atleast at the time of making this X( got a cold and was busy going places heheh. Anyways! Just wanted to make a blog on what's going on from me this past month, just a compilation of random stuff :P

PURGATORIO

Just about yesterday (again, as of the time of writing this); EToH released it's most biggest update yet with the addition the highly anticipated "Purgatorio" area intended to help beginners to get into the game, along with many UI changes, a rescript for optimization especially in more laggier areas, and some cool cosmetics and emotes with a rotation shop to accompany it!

Thank god the crate system they were planning to put into the game got scrapped before release, I would not like gambling in my obby game T_T It's a great monetization trick but it does not fit with the game.

I played though 4 of the 11 towers in the area so far - plus the mini-tower - (ToG, ToME, ToB, ToKP & TNF) and I have to say they are great! I kind of wished that Genesis would lean more into the classic style, but the update has been going great so far! Love the design around purgatorio, it looks goregous and beautiful for a sort of heavenly themed area with all the golden trees and white platforms, definitely will be a great first impression for those who will start playing EToH :)
I love how in the cat therapy you can see one of the frames being Nullicity's cat 'snowball' :3 rest in peace indeed o7 I love where EToH is going now, as someone who has unfortunately joined the game in a rough time heheh (early 2024), I'm glad that the new dev team are doing an amazing job at handling the game now, and I look forward to completing the area in a few days :) will probably just tell you guys in the journal section.

"Racing mount pleasant"'s self-titled album (previously known as "kingfisher") is one of my recent listens throughout my journey in the musicspace, It caught my eye around early october when I was going through AOTY and saw it at 6th position of best albums of this year, the title and cover really caught my eye and decided to try listen to it days after I saw it. I'd like to say it did not dissapoint; because damn, this album is goooood B)

Never heard any use of saxophones in the past two years I've started getting serious about music - yes I'm that closed off on vaporwave & edm - and this album definitely enforced my love for this cool instrument even more :J
Pacing is great, some tracks are tender and soft like both 'You' parts, while others are crazy fast and energetic like 'Emily' and the title track. I read a RYM review of the album - also Don't go to RYM, you will be quitely angry alot of the time >:/ - describing the album as a sort of 'time long gone' via the foggy album cover, and I think that is a great explanation of what this LP sound like :P

Anyways, yeah this album RMP made was good! Some tracks are now packed in my 'rotation' indicated with ><, and I recommend giving it a listen when you guys have time. :P

Speaking of other albums I have listened to this month, I had a wonderful experience listening to "Candy Claws" album 'Ceres & Calypso in the Deep Time' :> I always wanted to lean more into the dream pop/shoegaze genre ever since 'Sweet Trip' & 'Parannoul' (I should also listen to their alt project 'humeric' hmm LL), and I have never heard something this lush and beautiful before ;)

The concept alone was quite intriguing before I dived into it - Two goddesses exploring the mesozoic era - and I am blown away by how masterful the execution was! I don't really know how to describe it further without circling myself; but when I'm listening to this LP, I can just feel the tall prehistoric trees surrounding me and the vibrant flora and fauna around- Literally just the album cover ngl, which in of itself is beautiful and eyecatching for me... ~_~ <--(in a trance listening to 'white seal' while making this 'blog')

The wispy vocals paired with the loud soundscape, wow it's so unique! :J And to think this album was made by a quartet? You guys (Ryan Hover, Kay Bertholf, Karen McCormick & Jen Morea) did an amazing job!

Definitely check out this concept LP if you want something genre-bending as this :) I would say though that this is quite a hard album to get into, and some of you would not get it on first listen - especially with the 2nd half (same for RMP), it's really just an album that grew on me these past weeks and I love it!

And that is all for what I want to show this month! I have been trying to get back to GD now after building stuff in the tower community, it's quite exhausting and whatnot- hell I'm exhausted these weeks and I definitely need a break or something, existing that's all XP
