Justify align is overrated anyway-
Hello everyone! I'm like a month late from the Spring Equinox, but get ready for the most painful summer in human history, yay! :D
School year's about to end for me in a few weeks after taking my finals; In fact, it's been weeks since the SY by the time of publishing this :L (I got busy lol)
So while I was gone, here's a recap of my binges of many medias I have been into the past month again :P
WARNING: This blog contains spoilers for the following media:
That Artemis II mission (April 1-11) was absolutely fire to spectate. Seeing the mission happening in real-time through my twitter feed was great! From all of the goofy moments with the crew (and rise :P), that one moment 🫠, to the stunning photos they took of the moon/earth; especially during the lunar flyby. It really fuels the international energy around the world even in such dark times :-)
I actually got to see the return capsule from reentry til splashdown live, which was awesome to see :J Even my parents who were eating breakfast during the time - I showed them the livestream as well and my mother especially was giddy with it. “Ahh ayan na siya! :D” she said heheh, It was a very wholesome moment ;) Orion rapidly passing through the clouds after such a long journey from the moon to back will be in my head for a long, long time :P
Christina Koch will definitely be an inspiration to many women in the future in pursuing aeronautics :) It`s already happening in real-time lol. Shoutout to all of the crew as well; Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Heremy Hansen. You are all amazing people <3
Speaking of twitter, there were also a lot of amazing space-related media that was also going viral during the Artemis 2 mission run. One of which I mentioned in the journal is 17776, a webcomic about the future of football and some sentient probes. It's really great and I'd recommend checking it out :) Other than false color moon (oh god she's beautiful 🤩☺️), I keep seeing this rock and astronaut making references around the mission, so it's only time I delved into this silly movie called “Project Hail Mary” 🪨 and see what's it about :)
Surprisingly, PHM is actually the first sci-fi movie I've seriously watched! I've seen parts of The Martian but never the full thing from start to end. Everything else popular like Interstellar I've been ignoring for self-preservation purposes. So getting into more “niche” movies through this is pretty nice.
Even if I got spoiled a bit from all the clips on twitter. Wow. This is like such an amazing movie 😭
I don't know how to talk about movies, but I'll start with the fact that everybody is so lovable to watch! ^_^ Even Eva Stratt is a devilishly good anti-hero from Grace because of her cadence and manipulative speak. In general, I really liked the dynamics of the pre-mission part of the story! From Cole helping Grace in their research of astrophage. To Grace's little chat with Yao and Aliyah :P There are so many moments that made me laugh; like Grace getting that serious stare when buying sour Skittles, the fighter jet scene, “whoomp, there it is!”, and the karaoke scene with Stratt was really wholesome 🥹
Oh course, we can't forget about Rocky being such a lovable critter <3 (which, by the way, was inspired by the movements of baby owls :o). I really like how they were a puppet instead of cgi, which makes it so much better :D Them speaking in 3s satisfies my brain so much ;-; James Ortiz and the other puppetters did such a good job :D
There were also a lot of post-coma scenes that I keep on replaying heheh; the first contact scenes, the 'time go fishing' scene, the departure scene made me cry in a long while😭, the epilogue —which by the way is such a satisfying ending for grace's character as a whole :)
The Score/Soundtrack is fucking majestic 🥹 like the Amaze melody [G3 G3 E3-G3 D3 G3 E3-G3 C3], the two instruments in representing the Humans and Eridians. Even some of the instruments are water based to double the percussion (grace in shambles). ooouugh it's all so good, Daniel Pemberton did an excellent job at it — who by the way, also created a ton of other soundtracks, most notably spiderverse trilogy :o)
There is also so much symbolism scattered through the movie that I can't stop rewatching it for more lol. For example, the color white can be seen as Bravery and the color yellow meaning Cowardice; As such, it adds so much here in these two important scenes. (1) Grace having to face the fact that the worlds dependent on him. Curling and looking away from the sattelites - overwhemled in white (and the fact of grace looking down at earth, and the sattelites looking up to space 🤣😭) - as he only been given so little time to decide, and eventually forced into the Hail Mary by stratt. (2) Grace having to decide on saving rocky while the world tells him to be a coward and return as a hero, but dooming the eridians by doing so. And because of rocky - the "someone to be brave for" -, he was the will to go back to Blip-A and save them ...Ouugh it's so good, this movie is amazing Q-Q
Anyways that's enough yapping about this movie, I've rewatched ts too much yet I love it everytime 😭 The community on twitter is such a fun time to watch these past weeks; from all the fanarts (ouugh the angst), oddly specific rp accounts, the polaroid photo, and many more stuff that just makes me smile :)
Highly recommend to watch this :P yeagh next topic
“I Love My Computer” by Ninajirachi is an album I have been meaning to get into ever since I saw it in the AOTY charts last year, the cover is so blue and chaotically good with Nina just laying down in a bunch of posters, electronics, and whatever thingamabobs. I love it. lol :)
They weren't kidding when saying this is the best EDM project of the past year, because this absolutely kicks hard 🤟X) An album about how pervasive electronics have been throughout our lives ever since were kids is a really relatable, bittersweet but welcoming concept. It's really intriguing :J
The first half (1-5) is definitely the highlight, as each of the 5 tracks really flowed well together. From 'iPod Touch' about the nostalgia and divide of kids like us (YES us) from older generations because of how close we are to these devices. And how the next track 'Fuck My Computer' showing how we're even close to these devices than an intimate partner (which is based- what who said that). 'CSIRAC' is a really good break track onto 'Delete' which is about posting thirst traps 😭, but nonetheless such an amazing, punchy song; like that drop is honestly insane XD This honestly makes me interested in checking out Porter Robinson's discography because of its inspiration. I'll think about it :3
The latter half isn't as cobbled up but there are still some highlights like 'Infohazard' — a song about seeing footage L_L — which it's music video is absolutely stunningly put together \*o*/ I also made a lil GD layout out of the 2nd Drop :P Maybe I'll show that, maybe not~
'It's You' is quite the underrated track as I really loved that chorus ngl X( 'All At Once' works as a closing track but nothing grand, which is fine :P
Overall this is a great album that Nina created, and I'm proud of all of the popularity she got out of this :D Got awarded as Triple J Australia's Album of The Year, AIRT, going into every stage as a feature in this year's Coachella for some reason XD Hanging out with other electronic pioneers of the generation like Underscores and Jane Remover, it's all really sweet I'm so proud of her ;) Oough I really need that WannaCry track online featuring Porter, it's so good 😭

Quite the accessible album, unlike the next were gonna talk about heheh :>
Another album that I have been listening to last month is unexpectedly one of the most different (but welcoming) additions in my catalog 😭 The contrast from something like Bonito Generation to “Half-Blood (BloodLuxe)” by Slayr is jarring lol.
BloodLuxe is really my first deep dive into the “Rage” genre. Outgrowing off of Rap and spearheaded by artists like 'Playboi Carti' and 'Yeat', it comprises blown-out, clipping basses; raw synths, samples, and over-the-top vocals. During the early 2020s, Rage is first and foremost about *Energy* first rather than composition, continuity, or general polish. The rawness of the songs is the point. Something to just pick up quickly rather than to simmer with.
I remember hearing my first rage song —“Stop Breathing” by Carti— a few years ago and thought it's a really cool track :) Carti's album “Whole Lotta Red” really popularized this type of music to the world, even when it was met with mixed reviews at first.
One of the effects of Rage is that it's energy can be absurd at times, to the point it's kind of funny to hear 😭 And because of it, it's influence spread even more through memes and social media especially with TikTok because of it's absurdity, this also applies to p- p- Phonk 🤮 as well a.k.a. rage that's “””funny””” a.k.a. rage gone wrong. Like when was the last time you went into TikTok (I don't use tick tack, pls verify) and heard some bullshit play while you read/watch? There is a good chance that the track will have elements of rage during like 2022. It was everywhere, even in twitter like oh my god :D 🤩🤮
Anyways, tracking back on topic, I guess what I'm really saying is that BloodLuxe really is like a turning point for its genre. After the “chaos” period of rage, artists like Lucy Bedroque and Slayr started to take the polishing part seriously. Incorporating traits of EDM, Digicore, Trap and other wacky stuff to create something that is frankly, ridiculous in the best way oh my gosh S_S
When I first discovered Slayr through the 'Died But Came Back' music video I honestly thought it's one of the most funniest vids ever 😭 Not just because of the absurdity of the track, but how they are just flexing in a mario themed amusement park with all the fake retro, and old-youtube visuals everywhere. Oh and the 2016 intro was peak as well 🥹
“Two doors, butterfly
I will never quit because I must fly”
After listening to the full deluxe (not half-blood yet) this really such a majestic selection of tracks, hell even the 2nd half is solid after simmering with it some time. Brain Fog's punchy edm drop is such a great opening, especially with people who are unfamiliar with rage. Flashout Freestyle is genuinely hype. And oh my god the transitions to each song are amazing make this project so cohesive especially the transition to Eyesight, it's so beautiful ;).
Toxic's drums mid-song are insane, I never heard something like that before 🥹 Racks fuckign stupid “it's a minimum” and kiss stim is funny as hell. And of course 'Died But Came Back' is a well rounded closer to the album, basically talking about Slayr finding a new way to move forward and keep pushing through his music career, it's just wholesome as hell <3 Despite his fanbase not being the best at times L_L
Slayr, and his projects are really a game-changer for the rage as a whole, with a vision of a more “relaxed”, joyful energy and future for the genre. Oh yeah, he directed this at the young age of 18 as well with only 3 other producers. Like, PLEASE keep going with your career and tread lightly 🙏 I'll stay because you genuinely have potential to do amazing things ;J
This album reminds me of that albert gif holding a knife around, idk something to simmer about C:
That's all for BloodLuxe! check it out if you're into sounds like these, because I really enjoyed it :P

They say that May is the most forgettable month 🥹 well too bad because I was born in it X_X, May 30 will be another turn for my life, and I have to say this was like the best year I've been in rivaling 14. I get to create this website, I get to meet a lot of amazing people around - especially in NeoCities, december..., got to find myself and experienced many life-changing stuff heheh :P
Hopefully 17 will be more of the same as well, and a time where I get to show a lot more of my works here :) I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who has been here and checking out my shit, yall mean a lot to me than any other social media number anywhere else <3
Well that's all. Birbye \^o^\ 🐦
